A Steve Taylor investment home is built on quality and built to last the requirement of an investor. It never ceases to amaze Steve that builders cut costs on minor spending with the likes of TV points and power points. At the end of the day, it is only a matter of drilling holes and running cables. Due to the attention to quality and detail, a Steve Taylor investment home enables a higher rent to the be charged. The higher the rent, (and the lower the maintenance), enables you as an investor to move quickly through the ranks of owning more than one investment house.
More than one great reason
There is another great advantage to having 7 TV points. If a family are comparing possible rentals, the 7 TV points wins both the children and the lady of the household. The children love having a TV point in every bedroom. So, if you consider that it is often the 4-bedroom house that is marketed, that leaves three TV points. That is where the lady of the house comes in. She likes to generate love in the home and spruce things up once in a while by rearranging furniture. In this case she has many options available to her!
Power points
An average investment home that Steve Taylor offers will generally have thirty-two (32) power points. Twenty-four (24) of those being double. This includes two (2) weather-proof doubles in the alfresco area plus another two (2) for the air conditioner.
Light points
Again, an average investment home that Steve Taylor offers, includes thirty-seven (37) light points. Steve Taylor has thought of everything to ensure the contentment of the tenant. In this case…

Fans
There are two (2) exhaust fans. Seven (7) internal fans feature in the investment homes and let’s not forget the alfresco area. There is a (1) fan there for those beautiful summer evenings shared with a BBQ and friends.
Are there any hidden extras?
Yes! The Steve Taylor investment home has many features that add to the longevity of the dwelling. While Brisbane is not cyclone rated, the buildings are all built to a minimum wind rating of ‘W41’. This means the spacing between timber studs is 450mm as opposed to 600mm. What it also means is that a heavier grade of timber is used. Along with this, there are steel rods tying the roof to the concrete foundation.
More bang for your buck!
A Steve Taylor investment home uses a permanent termite treatment system. Another concern the investor can relax with. What is generally not known, is the construction style of the slab. Many builders have shifted away from the traditional concrete slab in an attempt to cut costs or bring their prices down. They may attempt to convince you that “Waffle pod” (a foam like substance) is a cost effective way of laying a slab. The Waffle Pod construction has the house slab sitting flush on the ground, this allows, rodent’s access to nest under your home. Short term gain may equal long term cost, with slab cracks and floor tiles splitting.
The house next door could look the same, but have none of these quality contents!
That’s so true. Why does Steve go to so much trouble? The answer is this. Steve does not encourage clients to buy and sell, but buy and accumulate. The house in Brisbane they buy today, they might well still own in fifty years! Steve likes to ‘do it once & do it right’.
